Ja, Hedi Slimane är ju sannerligen i blåsväder sedan tillträdet som chefsdesigner för Yves Saint Laurent, förlåt, jag menar Saint Laurent (huruvida man ska lägga till ett “Paris” där efter eller inte verkar det råda lite osäkerheter kring men på Style.com står det i alla fall utan det sistnämnda). Eftersom jag har fullt upp med att skriva en trendrapport till STYLEBY har jag valt att inte rapportera speciellt mycket kring visningarna här i bloggen, i alla fall inte än. Ibland tycker jag att det är skönt att separera det arbete jag gör för magasinets räkning från det jag bloggar, annars blir det lätt att man låser fast sig vid enskilda trender eller inspirationskällor man har för tillfället även om det givetvis är oundvikligt att de två går någorlunda hand i hand. Oh well, nu var det inte det vi skulle prata om, utan istället lägga fokus på Saint Laurents vårkollektion. Personligen blev jag inte direkt blown away av detta men jag gillar stämningen i kollektionen, denna rock-bohemiska vibe som finns där någonstans bland stora hattar och capear (för jag antar att man inte säger capes? Detta med att göra amerikanska ord till svenska i plural. Inte min starkaste sida). Så ingen superhit men ingen diss heller, vad säger ni?

So, a lot has been written about Hedi Slimane and the fashion world (read juicy gossip) since he took over at Yves Saint Laurent, oops, sorry, Saint Laurent (should I add a “Paris” to that? Well, Style.com writes “Saint Laurent” so I’ll guess I stick to that). Since I’ve been bust writing the trend report for an upcoming issue of STYLEBY Iäve chosen not to report that much regarding the spring shows and trends here on the blog, at least not yet. I find it quite stressful to write about it in two different publications at the same time so this time I’ve put that aside a bit (but i WILL do a lot of posts on spring trends soon) and focused on other contents here since it’s easy to get a bit narrow minded if you’re only reporting on actual trends (at least both for the magasin and on the blog) even though my work for STYLEBY, freelance work and the blog sort of goes hand in hand with each other. BUT this wasn’t what we were going to talk about, was it? Back to Sain Laurent and the spring/summer collection. I must admit it didn’t get me blown away but I do like the mood that the collection portrays, this bohemian roch chic vibe that’s in there somewhere between the big hats and capes. What do you think?
